Louie Mueller BBQ

Today I took a short 70 mile trip for lunch. Destination: Louie Miller BBQ in beautiful downtown Taylor, TX.

I had a side of potato salad, quarter pound of brisket, one link of jalapeno sausage, and one link of chipotle sausage.

The brisket was moist and by itself good - when you added the sauce, it became a slice of heaven.

The potato salad was divine - just enough mustard, perfectly-boiled potatoes and all the right spices.

The pièce de résistance must be the sausage, though. The jalapeno was just the right amount of spice, and the chipotle… oh my - there are no words to describe it. It must simply be experienced.

Rinsed down with copious amounts of freshly brewed ice tea, I don’t know that I could’ve spent the time anywhere better….
